從以上可以看出,純硬件冗余的方式硬件投入較多,成本開支較大大。而軟件冗余,只需增加一塊CPU模塊,成本增加很少,因?yàn)橐话阆?/span>CPU這種PLC的心臟,廠家都會(huì)配有備件,用備件來實(shí)現(xiàn)冗余控制,既提高了系統(tǒng)的可靠性和可維護(hù)性(可做到在線維護(hù),不影響生產(chǎn)線運(yùn)行),又不會(huì)顯著增加成本開支。
單純從可靠性方面分析,純硬件的冗余較之軟件冗余并無優(yōu)勢。因?yàn)樵黾恿溯^多的部件、模塊,這些部件和模塊的故障,也會(huì)影響系統(tǒng)的可靠性。例如,當(dāng)兩個(gè)熱備模塊之間的連接光纜出現(xiàn)故障,同樣會(huì)使冗余控制失效。而軟件冗余,只增加了一塊CPU模塊,而兩個(gè)CPU模塊的同時(shí)故障率幾乎為零。
